Webster: the little duck who could...

Things went very well with Webster. But rather than tell you about it, let me show you with a little video I made for Shan, so she can remember Webster's time in hospital.

Thank you to everyone for their well wishes for Webster.... but thanks more for playing along with the drama of it all..... it made me laugh a lot. xxx

WARNING: Have a tissue close by.
You may get a little emotional, especially near the end.

EDITED TO ADD: The song chosen was used purely for fun, for it's over-the-top cheesy-ness and for the heroism Webster has shown. It is no reflection of my personal music taste and thinking of ways to pay me back for making you listen or taunt me are hurtful (she says smiling).... so think carefully before you comment.... you know I never forget!

  1. Speechless. Teary, and speechless.

(can't BELIEVE your musical taste - I'm going to have to find some way to make you pay).

  4. Oh Webster, you could be the hero of A Current Affair with your touching story.

And the Dircetor could get an award for this emotional video.

You give all other duckies hope Webster!

  6. :'( sniff, it's just so beautiful!

You could have at least taken the opportunity to give poor Webster some eyes after all he's been through!

    Good work Dr Cardigan!

  7. So glad Webster is all better although I too think his life may have been enhanced with eyes.

  8. Just thought I'd let you know that like some of you, I too assumed Izzy the dog had chewed off Webster's eyes. Shan was very quick to tell me that his eyes are OK... even though you can't see them, there are black stitched eyes in my fur.

  10. hahahaha awesome... funny to see the comment from Daws, all I could think was where are his eyes and then you explained. Little-eyed duck.

You've done an awesome job making him better.

And we always knew you LOVE Mariah! Now we have the proof.

  11. I am so glad that Webster is back with us again...

Looks like your love of Mariah is no longer your little secret...

Was that taken from your own music library??? Uhuh, I thought so... ;-)

  12. Aww... that is simply too sweet!

Now, where are my tissues, my eyes seem to be leaking... but I am not sure if that is due to the trials and tribulations of Webster or if it pains me to listen to that song (hee hee).

  13. Oh (sob) Webster, you (sob) little trooper (sob) - with your one (sob) strong wing. You are the Nemo of the duck world.

And Mariah ... Nik we need to talk!

  14. LMAO... Nikki your sense of humor is just priceless!! No tears as Mariah just doesn't do it for me but I did get goose bumps when Webster was reunited with his Mummy!!!

  15. Oh crikey! I take it all back, it's a beautiful song - really. And because I'm quivering in my shoes, because I REALLY know you NEVER forget, I'll go and learn to play it on my daughter's recorder and sort a violin accompaniment. OK?

  16. hahaha for the edit... but Macca is right, it had to come from somewhere, funny you should have that song on hand in your music library.

And I'm not concerned about possible consequences. Anything from one as ingenious in craft as Ms Black Cardigan would be wonderful. I'm sure Mark wears his Barbie boxer shorts with pride (but not AT Pride).
