Feeling relieved
It is with much relief that I have been able to get my idea for the Quilt Project out of my head and onto paper (do I see other heads out there nodding...??). Stitches have been tried and practiced thanks to a book borrowed from the library, and now I'm ready to start on my "good copy".
After feeling nervous and worried and other similar emotions, now I'm excited and can't wait to get started.
To have a peek some other delicious red goodness, head over here.

My idea is still in my head and I haven't practiced.
I actually started to panic about it today and I went back and checked the closing date... luckily it's Sept 20!
I don't Quilt, but I love your enthusiasm and excitement. Hope it goes as good or better than planned!
Yup, well, I'm still stuck for an idea. Yours however looks great... yes, I can see that little design sneaky-peaking underneath! Hurrah.
I can see some drawings, some stitches...Enjoy your little challenge!;)
How fun! I want to learn embroidery too! I brought three blue and white stripe tea towels from Freedom the other day for $2 each and fancied that I would add a bit of stitching to them! Fingers crossed!
Can't wait to see what you are stitching. All the best. :)
Yep. I was head nodding. Then panicking MORE! I hadn't factored in the practise bit...(yeek)
Good for you. I sometimes become afraid when I have an idea in my head for too long. I am afraid I will lose it or forget just what made it important.
Itscoming along nicely! Can't wait to see the finihsed product!!
Sounds like you are making progress, what a fun project to be involved in! Thanks Nikki for your emails and comments re uni stuff - I really appreciate it. Have a lovely day xo
its looking good! yay for hand stitching ! :)
Good on you - I need to get moving with mine - great idea to do a practise one first. Oh dear, I'm a bit stressed now!!
Oooh, I can't wait to see your finished design. Your outline looks very exciting - a family group maybe?
Good on you teaching yourself all those new very fancy embroidery stitches. I think I should borrow the book you recommended - it sounds great.
Can't wait to see it. I have the same book at home. It's great.
Also can't wait to see your finished product, Nik. Love the idea of everything RED !!!
I am sure it is going to be super, hope it is going well
